Thank you SparkUK for that link. It seems I have the QM and the exact issues that are discribed on the page. I will be contacting EA to fix it. As for the guitar I am slowly learning to bend my finger in a unatural way to hit the back button. Stupidly whoever designed these obviously did not do consumer testing cause peoples little finger natural aligns with the start button, so common sense and well practiced design would swap the back and start button to allow the easier option of overdrive without the mass slamming of guitar.
I am going to contact play.com and simply request a refund and wait for Guitar Hero 4 drumkit.
