In utter disappointment I slammed the controller down, punched the bed and swore a few times. Then I realised - Thats what football management is all about (like it or lump it), and fifa 08 is the closest I will ever get to the real thing. Once I won 6-0 on the euro 08 demo and wasnt in the least bit bothered. Now I finally understand how real-life managers feel; but you know what - i wouldn't have it any other way.

Right, I'm got a potentially tricky priemier league class with villa to get on with. Now if only I can stop Ashley Young with his crossing.................
I feel your pain. I've had some matches against the likes of Derby that just drive me nuts. I'll have exp. points to burn and get lazy and then I'm fighting for my life against a relegation bound squad. Or the referee gets in cahoots with the weaker squad and they beat me to death without so much as a foul call. Heck, I almost lost all of my stars last season. I wasn't watching how long I had left on their contracts and the CPU only offered to sign 3 scrubs. Next thing I know my first match of my seventh year I have no Rooney, Ronaldo, Anderson, Nani or Hargreaves. The best attackers I have left is Demarcus Beasley, who I'd signed my first year after I sold Park, and Tevez. So I end up having to sign them all as free agents, which actually cost me less. Of course my Team Chemistry tanks. But I mess up yet again and resign my whole squad as to not have this happen again. I don't watch my funds and end up with $5700 dollars in the budget. This is with a month to go. The next match I go into the red (away match) and my Job Security tanks, dropping to 38 percent going into the ECC final (98 to 38 percent in a month). I get an e-mail telling me that I might need to think more about those who write the cheques and that the board hates me. But I win and they rehire me. This last year was the hardest yet....But the best trying to hold it all together......I hope 09 is an extension of this, I love the whole package, warts and all..........
