The Astra went over trees and landed on its roof
Two teenagers died and two others were left with life-threatening injuries in a car crash in Liverpool.
A Vauxhall Astra collided with a Volkswagen Beetle on Speke Boulevard, Halewood, at about 2240 BST on Sunday.
Five 17-year-old boys were in the Astra, which crashed into trees and rolled on to its roof.
Merseyside Police have named one of the dead teenagers as Kalam James Wooding, from Halewood. Police said "there was nothing left of the Astra".
The Beetle driver suffered "minor whiplash" following the crash.
Fence crash
A police spokeswoman said: "Both cars were travelling in the same direction into Liverpool.
"The Vauxhall Astra went over trees and landed on its roof. There is nothing left of the Vauxhall Astra really.
"The Astra went into the back of the Beetle, which then collided with a lamppost and collided with fencing."
She said the five teenagers were all from the Liverpool South area.
"Officers are attempting to work out who was where in the Astra and who was thrown out of the vehicle," she added.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Merseyside Police.
