Its a sort of a central midfielder role being played on the left side. A LWM is a player with roles like Ronaldo, Quaresma, Malouda, Ribery ETC, ppl who run along the lines and cross the balls usually! U DONT EVEN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LM OR LWM SO lalalala!
When Clichy is healthy yes...he plays CB with Toure, but he's also played LB many many times for Arsenal. When Gallas first joined Arsenal a majority of his games were played on the flank, actually most of his games were played at fullback. Last season he played both spots, but CB more the LB. Part of the reason he left Cheslea is Jose's reluctance to play him fulltime at CB.

I said I would like to see Robin play on the left as in LF/LWM, not once did I say anything about LM as you have constantly brought up. I realize there is a difference between LM and LWM, but it's obvious you can't read because not once in this exchange have I ever brought up the LM position. LM is NOT a central midfield role, that would be LCM which is still different than LM. As I've said numerous times go back and re-read my posts, it's obvious that you have because you keep making yourself look like a fool by mentioning things I haven't even talked about. Just like my Pires comment, he was a LM and Freddie was the RM, but Pires roamed the sidelines box to box and rarely came in the middle unless it was in the box area. The only reason that Pires isn't classed as a winger is because he isn't that fast and he doesn't cross the ball. Freddie roamed the wings but wasn't a winger because he loved to come in the middle and tackle someone before breaking back out wide. Arsenal has never had a true winger since Arsene was there unless you count Overmars but that was shortlived because he left asap. Robin and Theo are the closest players we have to being true wingers and even Da Silva has been used on the RWM, but when Robin is used as an LF and Sheyi is left in the ST role we are more fluid. If you can't see that then this is a hopeless exchange.

You seriously need to reeducate yourself on the game because it's obvious you don't know much about the game. I like that I am getting to you, considering that you have started to take this personal as you ALWAYS seem to do. You're a very sensitive person and that's something you seriously need to get over.

I won't worry about getting your panties in a bunch anymore because I can see going back and forth with you is not doing much good towards making you more knowledgable. Considering this exchange done because it's obvious you don't know much about Arsenal outside of what you read on the internet.
