What do u mean we are lacking in attack? We have scored 15 goals in 6 games already, yes yes i know u'l say "well most of those goals come from our midfielders" but thats the whole point. We're getting enough goals, i dont see the need for any more strikers when we have players like RvP, Adebayor, Bendtner, Eduardo, Wallcott etc. If Martins were added then we had to replace either RvP/Adebayor or Rosicky(Left midfielder who RvP would replace as Martins would be added to the attack). And those 3 players deserve to be in the starting lineup. Martins is a great player but i dont think we need him in our squad. I think arsene will sign some youngster who he feels has potential to grow to become a superstar, coz apparently, all our positions are packed with great players and i dont see the need to sign any big start player like martins.
In my opinion this our situtation:
Forwards/Strikers: We have enough of these. Like i said RvP, Adebayor, Bendtner, Eduardo, Wallcott etc. who can all play brilliant football.
Side midfielders/Wingers: Rosicky, Hleb, Traore, Walcott, Diarra and sometimes Eboue (Tbh, arsenal dont need wingers because Arsene's tactics only suit side-midfielders. Wingers would just need our tactics to be changed completely)
Central midfielders: Fabregas, Gilberto, Flamini, Abou Diaby, Denillson, Song. (We definately dont need any central midfielders since its full.)
Defenders: Eboue, Toure, Gallas, Sagna, Clichy, Sanderos, Traore, Hoyte, Flamini ( Well as you can see we definately dont need any defenders.)
Goal-Keepers: Lehmann, Aluminia, Fabianski. (Well questions may arise at this position. Lehmann is not in form and if he stays in the current situation which he is in, i hope Arsene does sell him. Aluminia has shown better performances than Lehmann, though i feel each big club has a super-star goalkeeper, and i cant see Aluminia as a super-star goalie since he cant be reliable at evert stage. Fabianski has potential but no experience. We should definately keep him.)
You can decide wht we need, but i feel we dont need to spend money on big players.
But if we HAD to sign big, i would say Huntelaar.
