Thought of a few things since writing that post.
Shoe Purchase
In World Cup 06, we were able to unlock shoes and put them on our favourite players. In 07, these shoes are in the game but only given to the respective ball players who wear these shoes. If I create a player why can't I give him Ronaldinho or Wayne Rooney shoes. Bring the purchasing of the shoes back. A player like Thierry Henry shouldn't have to wear the generic EA boots, the Mercurial Vapours boots (the white with red or the white with yellow) were in World cup and I gave it to him. Add this feature in 08
Change of Kits
In Fifa 06, using Bayern Munich(Their home kit was Red shirt & white shorts) and I thought to myself why doesn't Bayern have the full red kit. In 07, you brought the full red kit but I want to be able to make the jersey look like it did in 06. It would be nice if you could mix the kits... example Bayern Munich - Red Shirt & White shorts or White shirt & red shorts and have Full red kit (Home kit ) and the white kit (Away Kit). The Third kits are lovely in 07. AC Milan is another team that plays the dark shirt with white shorts.
Captaincy Assignment
In squad management, we are able to assign the captain armband to a player. In the event of fixing up the squad before playing a game whether it be in kick off or manager mode or any section where you can play a match, if you remove the person who is the captain.... the armband by default goes to the right back or sometimes the keeper. We should be able to assign any player the captain armband just before a match or even during a match. I own a PS2 so in squad management....square is to assign the captain. Whilst playing a match and if I'm using Barcelona and Puyol is the captain.... I substitute him I want to assign the band to Ronaldinho or Xavi, but I can't. It would be nice if the armband could be changed around like how you implement the changes for taking a FK, CK and PK.
The Armband
To stay with the armband, I wonder if more details could be implemented with the armband. For example, Barcelona's armband is red & yellow stripes. Lyon and Real Madrid actually have their crests on the armband. If this is too much to do, at least make the armband different colours. I mean it is quite ridiculous using Manchester United away kit which happens to be white and the armband is white as well. The colours you use for finger tape and ankle tape could be used the armband.
The Ultimate Question
I look on teams like Valencia who should have Mario Reguiero of Uruguay and Atletico Madrid who should have Maniche of Portugal. These player are on the squad list for the country, but not their club team. Why is this so???
I mean the fact that they are in the game we should be able to put them on the club. If the developers miss out on putting players on a club but have them for the country give us the option to bring them to the club.
Comments on Fifa 07
Manager Mode is excellent, much improved. The real currency adds to the authenticity of the game. The minor details of the nike emblem on jersey
. The fact that there is now an indicator that tells you that you are close to signing a player or very far....makes thing easier. I want to know does the level for tickets sales actually work. In 06, I left it on high and I never got any complaints from the fans.... then again I won majority of my games. I mean using Barca and playing Real Madrid B team would the fans argue that ticket prices are high or they would they still pay in 07.
The dynamic weather is wonderful. To see you start a game and 15 mins into the match it begins to pour and you see it affects the field and how the ball moves along the pitch. I heard persons asking for snow and implement it to fall during the winter season.
