I think that may be enough info for the moment, player details will need to be added at some point but I think it's time for the first update.

Pre-Season Summary

Gareth Southgate called a press conference earlier today to talk about the start of the season and the upcoming friendlies announced.

First of all, the friendlies, Southgate announced that Middlesbrough will be warming up against Doncaster, Ipswich, Chievo and Leverkusen before the start of the Championship season. These seemed like odd choices considering two of these clubs (Ipswich, Doncaster) are in Boro's own division, Southgate quickly responded to this saying that, 'It'll will give us a good eye on the opposition.'

He then proceeded to take questions which of course always find their way to transfer talk. Southgate kept tight-lipped on many transfer rumous but confirmed that the signing of James Brown from affiliate club Hartlepool United was almost complete. Many fans are already hoping he is more confident with his other signings.
