Unlocked the last few achievements and mastered getting out of maps on ME, and I think I've pretty much exhausted the game.

So today, I came here and found a rather deep rabbit hole that I'm fascinated by! You guys have put a lot of work into all of this speculation business, and it makes for a good read!

Anyway, the reason I signed up is because I've got a couple more things that I don't think have been touched on yet.

Assuming that everyone's unlocked the game's conceptual artwork, we've had a good look through the pics. One of these is an interrogation scene viewed in first-person as if it were gameplay. This section, as the description says, was cut from the final game. But with all the teaser material based around PK and the interrogation rooms seen in both the game and the "door" website, it's highly likely that ME2 is going to feature some element of interrogation. This got me thinking about a possible opening scenario for the sequel (sorry if this ends up like a bit of a fan-fiction :P):

EVERYTHING BELOW IS A HIDEOUS MESS OF SPECULATION AND PROBABLY ISN'T EVEN WORTH READING.

We start, once again, with a 2D cut scene depicting the following. Faith and Kate have constructed a new hideout somewhere in the city, with a similar setup to Merc's base of operations. Runner business is going as usual, this time with each runner carrying a firearm for protection against Pursuit Cops.
Kate acts as Faith's primary tracker as she works for the clients, but both girls take orders and information from higher command: 88.7. We'll go along with the idea of him being the boss of the Runners for now. The player enters on a particular order, and takes a run with the bag to a location specified by 88.7.
But when Faith gets there, oh snap! Pursuit Cops are surrounding the area and waiting for her to arrive. Betrayal, much? Faith's overpowered and taken into custody, bad times all around etc.

Cue interrogation scene. Ms. Connors is getting smacked about by... I dunno... Jacknife's brother (for the sake of drama)!
He's also spinning out some stories which may or may not be true. Turns out that the Runners are all deep in it because of Faith's interference with society during Kate's rescue and the murder of a Blue (Jacknife), and have been promised peace from the Blues as long as Kate gets chucked in the slammer and Faith gets prosecuted for her crimes.

"They've won, it's over, what now?
Nowhere to hide, no doors, no flow, no trust, nothing..."

Faith isn't too happy with this. So she gets a bit angry and incapacitates the guy before he aims his pistol to stop her.

(This could explain PK image 1: the pistol by the door of the interrogation room)

Faith is all "Time to dish out some serious revenge" and leaves the facility.

(This could explain PK image 2: Faith's shadow in the doorlight)

Then she thinks about the betrayal of the whole Runner community, led by the mystery that is 88.7. She knows his radio frequency from receiving messages, and uses Jacknife's bro's radio to say the following at his station:

Who are you, (88.7)? Are you trying to get me killed?
Your name is a lie, your code (delivery code?) was wrong, they found me, you led them to me.
But I escaped, I always escape, it’s what I do, It’s all I do.
Before it was only personal, for what you had taken from me.
But things have changed, they always change, and for you, they have not changed for the better.
I’ll find you, but don’t worry, you won’t see me coming, none of you will (Runners).
Faith

Meanwhile, Kate, who hasn't heard from her sister in some time, predicts what's happened; Faith's been taken in. Being an ex-cop, she's probably somewhat familiar with PK, and probably knows a thing or two about the communication there. She gets a message to faith through a terminal there. She lets Faith know by some code through the earpiece, because it's likely that their wires are being watched by everyone now.

Level 2: Get through PK to the terminal and get the message.

Faith finds this message and sends a reply, trying to be non-specific in the use of keywords like "Runner", so that the message isn't traced:

I got your message, be careful, they're getting better, closer.
They're still looking, for me, for us, they don't give up.

The city, everything below, seems different, I feel watched.
Stay low, trust no one, no one, not even friends.

Got to go, got a lead, an old friend, a risk. (Celeste?)
And Kate, it won't be long now, He (88.7) doesn't have long.

Faith

Level 3: Get the eff out off PK... again.

And things sort of go out of control from there. Faith and Kate Connors against the City, the Cops, the Runners and the Edge itself.
It'd make for a mind-blowing sequel, I reckon.

BUT I DON'T KNOW. I just wanted to lob some of my thoughts out there!
