Thats a sad view of humanity
Mind you, isnt that what always happens in the films? I guess a little chaos is to be expected, all the bad guys (and girls) doing what they have not done as their fear of reprimand has gone.
But I have faith in human nature at the end of the day, and think there are a lot more good people out there.
