This sounds pretty cool. Could actually be balanced very easily too. For instance, the AA now is rather powerful per shell, but not very accurate. The vulcan can be the F2000 equivalent, accurate, fast ROF, but each bullet does very little. Both could have the same optimal killing time, and it can boil down to personal preference with no problems to gameplay.
