Name: Victor Nsofor Obinna

After previously having a trial with Internazionale in 2005, the Nerazzurri finally signed their man in August 2008. Prior to his move to Inter, Obinna had spent 3 seasons at Chievo, where he scored 22 goals in over 80 games for the Italian side. Last season, Victor Obinna made just 9 appearances for Inter in a season, which also saw him score his first goal for the club. Obinna has already been capped for his Country, with his first appearance coming in 2005. The Nigeria striker is definitely a player for the future and could be loaned out this season in order to gain some much needed experience.

Mario Balotelli is one of the hottest young talents in European football. The 18 year old can play as a striker or winger and his key attributes are his pace and technical skill. Balotelli has already featured for the Italy under 21’s and has scored 5 goals in 10 games for them. The youngster has had his problems, however, as Mourinho has previously accused him of showing a lack on commitment in training. Despite this, Balotelli will surely play a big part in Internazionale’s season and if his performances improve, the striker could be a regular in this current Inter team. Mario Balotelli is also the youngest player to score in the UEFA Champions League, as he found the net aged 18 years and 85 days.

Inter’s latest signing, Diego Milito, boasts an impressive goalscoring record in Serie A. During his first spell with Genoa, Milito 33 goals in just over 50 appearances. Last season, the Argentinean returned to Genoa and netted a total of 24 goals. On July 1st, Internazionale confirmed the signing of Diego Milito. The striker could be a regular starter for Inter this season should Milito be able to regain the kind of form he showed at Genoa. Milito will battle with Balotelli, Obinna, Souzo and Ibrahimovic for a berth in the starting team.

Zlatan Ibrahimović is one of the finest footballers in the World. A lifelong Inter supporter, Ibrahimović joined Internazionale from rivals Juventus in 2006 and has since made 88 appearances for the Nerazzurri, scoring an amazing 57 goals in 3 years. The Swedish striker has won 5 major honours with Inter, aswell as 11 personal awards throughout his career. Last season saw Ibrahimović won the Capocannoniere for being the top goalscorer in Serie A. Zlatan Ibrahimović made his name whilst playing with Ajax in the early 2000’s. He helped fire the club to Champions League success before signing for Juventus in 2004. A drop in form towards the end of his Juventus career saw him signed by Inter where he has since won 3 straight Scudetto’s. Naturally, Ibrahimović has been attracting lots of interest from clubs abroad, however he looks set to stay as one of Inter’s key players for season’s to come.
